Birds
Approximately 32 species. Highlights included a Hawfinch, Crossbills, Siskins (feeding on larch cones), a Dartford Warbler and flocks of 25 each of Redwing and Goldfinch. Someone who left the party saw a Merlin at Hampton Ridge.
Other highlights
At least 14 Fallow Deer seen. New Forest Water Crowfoot in bloom in Dockens Water. Lots of common fungi still to be seen plus Nail Fungus Poronia punctata at Ragged Boys Hill.
