This insect does not appear in Phil & Andy's report, but was identified in the Hamble area in 2002.

Blue-tailed Vs Scarce Blue-tailed Damselflies

The diagnostic characteristic in males is the amount, and position, of the blue on the tail. The common is above, and the scarce below.
