This insect does not appear in Phil & Andy's report, but was identified in the Hamble area last year. Photo 10 August 2002.

Blue-tailed Vs Scarce Blue-tailed Damselflies

The diagnostic characteristic is the amount, and position, of the blue on the tail. The common is on the left, and the scarce on the right.
